[Yellow-crowned Night-Heron]

The Yellow-crowned Night-Herons on the Galápagos are subspecies pauper. As you can see, the youngsters are quite dark, like the Lava Herons. They could be called Lava Night-Herons! However, the adults are more normal-looking and they do not seem to have been considered a separate species from the rest of the Yellow-crowned Night-Herons.
