Dead Terraces at Mammoth

Hot springs no longer flow over these terraces. The organisms that gave it color have died, and it is weathering away. I think this shows both Mound and Jupiter Terraces. Mound was once considered the most beautiful spring at Mammoth. Jupiter was active as recently as 1992.
