Mann Gulch

Missouri River, Montana, 4:11pm, July 2, 2005

This is the site of the Mann Gulch Fire, where 13 firefighters lost their lives on Aug. 3, 1949. If you look closely, you'll see a sign about it near the water's edge. There is also a memorial plaque nearby.
