[Common Nighthawk]

East Everglades, Everglades National Park, Miami-Dade County, Florida, June 21, 2008.

I spotted this nighthawk perched on a branch. I had just gotten into position to take its picture when a mockingbird chased it off. It flew around for a bit afterward, and I was able to get some flight shots.
